Get Help Preserving Your Healthy Smile

Restorative dentistry is all about preserving your natural-looking smile. While brushing and flossing can help prevent oral health problems, you could still develop issues that damage your teeth over time.

We can help preserve, rebuild, or even replace your tooth structure with natural-looking materials using modern techniques and technology. Find out how we can help keep you smiling by booking your appointment today.

Restorative vs. Cosmetic Dentistry

Both restorative and cosmetic dentistry are services we are proud to offer at Symmetry Dental. While there is some overlap between these services regarding techniques, technologies, and materials used, both serve different purposes.

Restorative dentistry helps replace, repair, and preserve natural teeth affected by tooth decay and gum disease. Cosmetic dentistry offers aesthetic services that can help you maintain a straight, healthy-looking smile. Some of these services include veneers and teeth whitening.

Our Restorative Services

Before providing any restorative services, our dentists will examine your teeth and discuss which option may be best for you. The type of service we recommend will depend on your oral health.

We will work closely with you to ensure you understand the treatment you choose. Please feel free to let us know of any questions or concerns you might have before your treatment. Our team will always be happy to go over the details with you!

Crowns

Dental crowns or caps help restore the tooth’s natural size and shape if it is affected by tooth decay, fractures, or root canals.

We may also offer a crown if the tooth is too damaged for a filling. Crowns are cemented over the natural tooth and can be made from porcelain, metal ceramic, silver, or gold materials.

Bridges can replace one or more teeth without having to create dentures. Bridges can be attached to your current teeth using a special crown called an abutment or can be inserted using dental implants.

Bridges can help you retain a natural-looking smile and prevent bone loss caused by missing teeth.

Our dentists may offer an inlay or onlay if your tooth is damaged, but not damaged enough to warrant the use of a crown. Inlays and onlays are custom inserts that can restore smaller sections of your tooth.

Inlays are a certain type of tooth filling placed between the cusps of your tooth, while onlays cover one or more of these cusps.

Dental implants are often offered as a way to replace a tooth if it’s too damaged by tooth decay or gum disease and needs to be removed. Implants are surgically inserted into your jawbone, replacing your natural root.
